BRIAN CULLINANE FOR KITTITAS COUNTY CLERK

CITIZEN FOCUSED SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNITY -
PROVEN LEADERSHIP - LOCALLY AND STATEWIDE
ACCOUNTABILITY & INTEGRITY
SMALL BUSINESS OWNER WHO IS SOLUTIONS DRIVEN -
IT'S TIME FOR CITIZEN FOCUSED LEADERSHIP
Even though many of you know me—many of you do not. I have been a resident of Kittitas County for 20 years. I initially lived in the upper county until I bought a house and moved to Ellensburg in 2005. It has been a privilege to volunteer and serve within my community—here are just a few areas within the county that I serve or have served. I have served on the Kittitas Valley Hospital Foundation Board for 17 years, was active with the Ellensburg Chamber of Commerce co-moderating candidate forums and legislative days for a number of years. I served two terms on the Cle-Elum Roslyn Chamber of Commerce Board, served on the Kittitas County Planning Commission, the Ellensburg Board of Adjustment, been involved in Rotary, CWU Athletics, and I am a proud member of the American Legion Post #8 here in Ellensburg. Over the years I have been an active citizen in Olympia, advocating for legislation that would be helpful to or working to defeat bills that would be harmful to our community . I managed one of the top 10 largest private employers in Kittitas County from 2003 to 2009. I want to tell you why I am running for Kittitas County Clerk—and why I am the best candidate not only for the office but for the citizens of Kittitas County. I am the only candidate that has a proven track-record of citizen focused service. I own Ellensburg Licensing—and in our 5 years of operations—we have become the clear preferred choice in Kittitas County for vehicle and vessel licensing services—not just by a little but by a wide margin. We know that every time a person walks through that door they have a choice and we want to be that choice! We are citizen focused and a solutions oriented. I want to bring that Citizen Serving Focus to the Clerks Office. What can we do to better serve the citizens that utilize the Clerk’s office? Expand service hours for high demand citizen services like Passport Services which is only available a few hours on Wednesdays,. I believe the Clerks office should be open during the lunch hour— should not close at 4:30 in the afternoon. That’s a start! I would initiate a real focus on cross-training so staff members can “float” to the services that have the greatest demand within the office at any given time. I will put in place measurable citizen performance metrics to gauge how we are taking care of you and identify areas we need to improve. I will continually look for ways we can expand services or improve processes to get citizens in and out more quickly and improve the citizen experience. There is a clear choice for Kittitas County Clerk—If you are looking for a public servant that will be “citizen focused at all times” always looking for ways to be innovative and efficient in serving you, then I am your choice! If you are looking for a candidate that has been active in the community & successfully demonstrated leadership and the ability to get things done—finding solutions—then I am your choice! For me these aren’t just talking points—they are actionable objectives. I am the only candidate that has a proven track-record of providing this level of service and focus to the citizens of Kittitas County. I would appreciate your support in the primary election in August and the General Election on November 8th - Respectfully Brian Cullinane, Candidate for Kittitas County Clerk
